Our Versatility

A lot of people wonder if we can handle small towing projects and others wonder if we can handle the big long-haul towing projects.  We are here to say that we are very versatile and can handle projects big, small, and everything in between.

The best way to prove this to you is through examples.  The other day we received a call from an apartment complex manager.  Someone had parked their car illegally and they wanted us to get out there as quickly as possible and tow the car away.  We got a hold of one of our drivers who happened to be within 10 minutes of the place.  Within 20 minutes of making the call, we were able to get the job completely done.

Someone called us at two in the morning a few weeks ago with a flat tire.  They were surprised that we actually answered the phone.  We had a driver go out to the person’s location and he fixed the flat tire in another 15 minutes.  That means that in the middle of the night, we were able to fix someone’s flat tire within 30 minutes of them giving us a call.  We don’t know of any other towing company in town that can be that quick and responsive, especially at such a late hour.  Usually other companies just won’t even be available that late into the night.

Someone the other day needed to tow a pickup truck 100 miles away.  They were wondering if we had the right capacity to get something like that accomplished.  We did have that capacity, and now we feel that we have gotten a customer for life because of how seamless the process was for that person.

The point of these quick antidotes is to show the versatility of our towing services.  If you are wondering whether your project is too small or too big for a company like ours, let me assure you that is not the case.  We have the capacity to do any project small or big!

Who Should Give Us A Call

If you have checked out our website, you will see that there is more than one way to get a hold of us.  You can give us a call or you can fill out the inquiry form that is available on the right hand side of our website on pretty much every page.  Who should fill out the form instead of calling us?  Well, certainly if your matter is not urgent and you don’t really need to speak in-depth with a person on the phone, then you can go ahead and fill out the form in lieu of giving us a call.  Who should give us a call instead?  Well, here are some ideas.

Emergencies– If you have an emergency out on the road, then you don’t have time to fill out an inquiry form and wait on an answer.  It is true that we do tend to respond to the inquiry form messages fairly quickly, but if it’s at night or you are truly in an emergency, we wouldn’t necessarily recommend waiting for us to shoot you back an email.  If it’s an emergency, we recommend that you just go ahead and give us a call.

You Have Very Specific Questions– If you have more than one specific question and there might be some ambiguity involved, then it’s best to speak to an actual human over the phone.  This will avoid a lot of back and forth between emails that will just end up wasting time for both parties involved.  If there is ever any doubt, then just call us.  A lot of the pricing that we come up with will depend on the exact nature of the towing that needs to get done.  The best way to figure that out ahead of time so that there’s no confusion involved is to talk through the exact situation with someone over the phone.

Those are the best situations to give us a call.  Certainly, if you would just prefer to talk with someone, then we are happy to speak with you and we encourage you to give us a call.

Always There When You Need Us

Imagine the following scenario.  You are coming back from a long trip from another state.  It’s 1 in the morning.  You are about an hour away from home, and you really just want to get to bed and go to sleep.  It’s been a truly exhausting trip that you are looking to put into the past.

All of a sudden, your car breaks down in the middle of the road.  Nothing worse could happen at such a bad time.  You’re not sure what to do, because you aren’t a car expert and you don’t know what to look for.  You don’t know of any towing companies off-hand, so you turn to your smartphone and head to Google.  You start looking up companies.  You call the first one and no one answers.  You call the second one, and the same thing happens: no one answers.  You call the third and then the fourth ones and start to think that maybe no one is available at all at this hour.  While you understand that it makes sense for no one to be available, you have a problem now and you need to get it fixed.

Isn’t that basically a nightmare scenario?  We think so.  We started our company for many different reasons.  One of the reasons, however, was that we wanted to be the one company that actually picks up the phone and is able to help the person in that situation.  That’s why we do 24 hour towing.  We know that problems with your car can happen at any point in time.  If something happens out on the road, it’s not as if you can wait until 9 in the morning for someone to actually answer the phone.  You need help as quickly as possible.  We aim to be the one company that is available for people all hours of the day.

We get asked questions all the time about our company and what the keys are to running a successful towing company.  Here are some of our thoughts and pieces of advice that we would give to anyone who is currently running or is considering running a towing company in the future.

Marketing Is The Key

There are really two key marketing strategies that can make or break a towing company.  People don’t ever know when they are going to need a tow.  It’s usually when something unexpected happens.  When something does happen, people either have a company in mind that they know of that they can, or they will turn to the Internet to quickly find a company.  You need to make sure your company is found with one of those two ways.  You need to do a lot of advertising to have people remember your name when something comes up.  This means doing radio, tv, newspaper, etc. ads and making sure you do them frequently enough so that people will remember you when something comes up.

The better thing to do is to show up well in search engines when people need to look for a tow truck.  This means having a good website that is structured well and has the right links pointing to it so that you can show up as highly as possible when people make searches on Google such as “tow truck near me.”  How do you do this exactly?  Well, you hire the best Internet marketing firm that you can find.  Look around and do your research, because making the right hire in this regard is an extremely important step for you to take to be successful.

Be Responsive

It’s extremely crucial to have good customer service and to be as fast and responsive as possible.  Not many towing companies actually answer the phone.  You need to be the one company that does.  Take customer service very seriously and you will be rewarded very handsomely.

Other than that, just make sure you hire the right people who know how to get the job done.  Human resources is a big key to your success.

If you can do these things well, you will have a good shot at running a successful business and making a nice living for yourself.

Why Columbus, GA?

A lot of people have asked us variations of the question of why we chose to live in Columbus, Georgia.  You can run a towing company pretty much anywhere in the country, so why did we decide to stay in Columbus and run it here?  Well, there’s lots of reasons, and we will go through those reasons here.

My History

I have lived in Columbus all of my life.  I simply can’t imagine being anywhere else.  There really is something to growing up somewhere and really understanding and getting to know everyone in the community over the period of your life.

Weather

It’s hard to really beat the weather of Georgia in general and Columbus specifically.  The only real complaints that I ever hear is that it gets pretty sticky in the summer time.  While that may be true, it could certainly be worse, that’s for sure.  The winters are very mild and something the people up north most likely envy.  The best parts of the year in my opinion are the spring and fall.  That’s because the weather is warm but not too sticky hot.  You can enjoy any outdoor activities you could ever dream of, except occasionally it might be too cold to go swimming.

Food

Who doesn’t love good southern food?  Everyone that I know does, and Columbus has some amazing southern food that make a lot of other cities jealous.

People
The number one thing I love about this city is the people.  I just can’t really think of a better set of people in the country.  I am a little biased, but I definitely feel that way.  The best part about the people is the sense of community that you feel when you live here.  It feels like everybody knows everybody, and to me that is something that’s special.

Hopefully you are starting to see why people love it here so much and why we are running our business in this city and why that won’t change anytime soon.

Fix It Yourself?

A lot of people have asked us if we could provide information videos or have some sort of workshops to help people be more knowledgeable about their cars and learn how they can fix basic and more advanced problems themselves.  We are happy to do that in the future, but we thought we would just put together a little explanation of why that might be a little dangerous.

Let’s take the example of a dead car battery that needs a jump start.  In that case, you need to have access to jumper cables.  If you have jumper cables, you need to know which end up to latch onto which node.  If you don’t do it correctly, really bad things can happen.  Your engine can basically blow up if you do this, and then you’ll have to pay a lot more money than you would have if you had just called an expert to do it for you.  The point of this story is to show you how dangerous and costly it can be if you try to fix car issues yourself.  While it can be good to know basic information about your car and what to do if it breaks down, it can also be very costly.

Another example is fixing a flat tire.  If you don’t exactly know what you’re doing, you can really mess things up, and you can get really frustrated and spend an hour just messing around.  It would be well worth your time to just call experts like us to come out to your location and fix the situation for you.

Our overall advice is to give us a call if you are not 100% sure and experienced with what you are trying to do.  There is some harm that can be done if you mess up, so don’t put yourself in that position and let the experts take over.

If you live in the Columbus, GA area, you probably have lots of different options to get a tow truck from.  With that being said, we are glad that you would consider us.  Why would you want to consider us?  Well, we have a quick list of reasons why you might want to do that.
